About Ketchikan Glacier Cruises

A glacier cruise from Ketchikan is the classic Alaska day: tidewater ice, a wildlife cast that works the whole route, and a heated cabin when the deck wins.

Season runs May–September. The glacier-facing decks are cold even in July — bring the layer you think is too much.

"Had a wonderful zodiac tour with Jaden! Fun to self-drive the zodiacs, the scenery was beautiful, and we got to spend time watching a humpback whale feeding. The drinks and snacks after the tour were an added bonus!"

Vicki United States

"It was awesome. This outfit made sure to accommodate all our needs and got us back to the ship on time. Brandon was our tour guide (we let him drive) he was so informative and we got to see some beautiful wildlife."

Anna United States

"Great experience! Everyone was helpful welcoming and knowledgeable. Turkey was a great guide! We had a blast!"

Amanda Lynn United States

"This was the highlight of our Alaska trip by far! Beautiful scenery, lots of wildlife, and so peaceful. We opted to not drive our own skiff so the operator could take care of it while we enjoyed the views. This also let us see all the good spots and even some that hadn't been visited before. Make sure to bundle up because it gets chilly with the wind."

Daniel United States

"we really enjoyed the experience and Emily made it seem like we were her only customers. she was Great and so is this experience!"

Denise United States

"Be prepared to be cold and wet. If it had been a nice day this would have been an excellent tour however we had cold rain and choppy water which made for an uncomfortable trip. We did get to see seals and the resident eagle pair, Walter and Eva. Walter performed for us when the guide threw out 3 fish he swooped down and gave us a little twisting turn before diving to grab the fish! Not sure if I would recommend buying tickets in advance but if a reasonably nice day this would be wonderful! We did hear it is the rainiest city in Alaska!"
